We had a GREAT week this week!!  We are settling into a routine and are working very hard :)  We continued to study apples this week and reviewed lots of math skills.

We created tree maps to record what we had learned about Johnny Appleseed.

We began working on our apple centers.  We are reviewing a lot of skills like counting, 1 to 1 correspondence, and number formation.  These activities can be found in my Awesome Apple Centers Pack :)

We read lots of books to learn about the life cycle of an apple and then created these to demonstrate what we had learned!!  (This is based on an activity from Deanna Jump)

This activity helped us practice following directions, color words, number words, one to one correspondence, and concept of a word.  (This was an awesome freebie from TPT!!)

Experimenting and observing the change of apples left in juice all day and apples left out in the air.  We were already seeing differences Friday afternoon and will check back Monday!!

This activity helped us to review number ordering and number recognition skills.  We did a GREAT job and are ready to start working on our teen numbers!!

Labeling the parts of an apple.  We also practices figuring out words based on their context and the first letter of the word.

Art was SO FUN on Friday!!  We started a project based on the word of illustrator Eric Carle!!  We created paper in the style of Eric Carle this week and will be finishing the project next week.
